This is another sketch from the IDIOMS project where I work. I really enjoyed trying to capture the cheesy news reporter. I have a very low regard for local news. They sell fear. Pure and simple. I watched a local news channel here in Los Angeles cover a high speed chase, they (get this now) actually broke for a commercial and came back to the chase. If that is not selling fear and sensationalism I don't know what is.
