Stressed Out! (in progress)

I've been trying out colored pencils and I really like them. I used to use them years ago. Wonder why I stopped? Anyway, no mixing of paints, you get the exact color you want. I'm gonna try a few illos using these suckers.

Thanks for commenting on my blog, Dave! You have VERY nice work here!

Have fun the with the colored pencils - I loooved how they looked when I tried them, but didn't have the patience for all the layering. My new toy has been Dr. Martin's radient watercolors over the last couple weeks - I think I'm starting to prefer reg. watercolors though. The dyes are SUPER bright, and don't agree well with my scanner. I've book marked you, and look forward to seeing more illustrations! :0)

p.s. What's the name of the book with monster jumping out of the closet? That illustration has always been one of my favorites.

Thanks for the nice comments.

The illustration of the monster jumping out of the closet is from my first (and only so far) children's book I've written called Maranda's Monster.
